Antique Caucasian Kuba rug. This antique Kuba bird rug was woven in the 1st half of the 19th Century, containing multiple Seychour type design elements. This rug features two opposite colored medallions on a purple brown field with radiating branched birds with striking stripes. Attractive floral meander border amplifies the field. Truly a masterful rug that was expertly conceived and meticulously woven. Great decorative floor rug or a wall hanging. Rare piece.

Condition: Excellent condition considering age. Even wear to knot heads with minute areas of faint foundation showing due to 100+ year old brown corrosion. Fully secured sides and ends.
