10'1" x 8'8" Antique Ersari Rug [SH-086]

An antique Ersari rug. The design features a 3 x 6 gol pattern on a madder copper-brown field. The secondary diamond gol features bird heads. The border resembles a checkered diamond design, with the outer border showing stripes of the flower heads. With a 3 cord selvedge, and five colors, this beautiful piece has been given a museum quality hand wash before being preserved in our gallery’s Turkoman room.
