Collector's Notes
This antique Persian Kurdish (bagface) small square rug was woven in the late 19th Century with a classic 'Jaf/Jaff' style weave. This piece features diamonds formed from bird/latch-hook ornaments with a vibrant use of colors. A saturated red border with multi-colored octagonal medallions surrounds this design. Very soft and shiny wool with a floppy feel. Great small accent rug or hanging as wall art.
