This antique Shirvan kilim flatwoven rug was woven in the mid to late 19th Century and features a very colorful palette and fine weave. The kilim displays 6 by 5 large hexagonal rows of evocative latch-hook diamonds are separated by cross tipped triangles. Interspersed are seven horizontal bands containing stepped diamonds. All bordered by 14 rows of narrower bands of alternating colored triangular crenelations. A crisp handle lends to a possible dowry or presentation kilim piece. Gorgeous floor rug or large wall hanging art.
