An antique Ersari main carpet. Features a 3 X 7 purple gol pattern on a maroon field. The secondary gol pattern is a diamond filled with flower heads. Horse hair warp and kilim ends. The rare minor border shows indigo-angled and plumed bird heads. In very good condition, and with 7 colors, this rug was given a museum-quality hand wash.
