9'5" X 6'7" Antique Tekke Rug [SH-101]

An antique Tekke rug. Features a deep green and indigo with piled elams. Hourglass comb motif strips on tekke border, as well as checkered and rams head borders. Classic tekke gols in a 4 X 10 pattern, with chemche gols featuring one set of hooks connected by pleated diamonds on a deep royal purple field. White wool corrosion is found. With 9 colors, this piece was given a museum quality hand wash before being preserved from light and wear in our gallery's Turkoman room.
