Collector's Notes

This antique Persian Senneh tribal rug features an all-over worn look from age and wear from 100+ years. It has a faint saffron yellow intricate center medallion, with two people woven above and below it. Studying the literature one would be hard pressed to find a similar 18-sided motif. Later Senneh rugs had center medallions that morphed into 4 or 6-sided, some with pendant tips. Overall, great shabby chic decorative floor rug or tribal wall hanging art.
