





Early rare Yuncu Anatolian flatweave. Contains coiled bird's heads. One pair of hooked ivory brid heads. form a mother goddess figure. Surrounded hexagons display various diamond-centered tribal motifs of hooked bird heads. Pleated diamond and 8-point stars all radiating their own stemed mushrooms. rich coloration of a deep madder/purple, deep indigo blue, and bits of electric light blue.
A central row of ashik figures presents a talisman feel. Simple, glowing, two shades of blue sawtooth enclosing diamonds on a madder ground. Woven in weft float brocade. Half of the hexagon shapes emerge from under elam ends and disappear, creating a never-ending design. A checkered half diamond vine end border encloses a dragon/pendant of three colors. A rare and early tribal master work.
