Antique Karabagh Kilim. Woven by interlocking warps. Hand spun wool and vegetable dyes used. On a chocolate ground. We see an intricately woven floral border. Two large cabbage rose flowers of french influence flank a central forest scene. A family of three deer looking closely reveal many forest animals, birds and spruce trees. Weaving in exceptional rare. Original condition. Circa 1890. 9 Colors. Hand washed.
