A Caucasian Fachralo prayer rug. It's rarely encountered, simply unusual T-meander outer border on a clear yellow ground, which highlights this small prayer rug. Three madder red/light blue sawtooth guard borders. Direct the viewer into the white ground mirab of many Kochanak horns, crosses, and small crusiforms. A feature of Areminian weaving. A Kochanak mother goddess-like form stands guard with a woven date above it, 1845. The butter yellow rectangular panel of Kochanak forms seems to float beyond a moss/blue green horn-studded square portal. A charming rug that vibrates six colors. Hand-washed.
