An early antique Ersari Beshir rug. Hailing from the Amu Darya region, this rug features a 3 X 7 gol pattern on a cherry red ground with an early border - sawtooth hexagons. Containing a myriad of ancient symbols, the goose feet stand out along with the secondary and tertiary motifs of combs/amulets. H gols are also found in the art. With 3 shades of blue, green, and orange, a 3 cord selvedge, and 8 colors, this rug was given a museum quality hand wash.
