A rare and early Kiz small main carpet. Horse hair warp with a salmon red ground. The design shows a 3 x 10 tauk-nuska gol pattern, with a single one sided outer ram head border. The top of the tauk-nuska gol exhibits early ram’s horn designs. With original kilim ends, and nine bold colors, this piece was given a museum quality hand wash before being preserved from light and wear in our gallery’s Turkoman room.
