Collector's Notes
This Antique Persian Baluch rug was woven in the late 19th Century. It features a rare 'Qalamdani' design with eight distinct vertical bird totem trees. It's finished with a powerful meandering bird head border also referred to as the 'boat border'. It is finished with a finely woven meandering leaf and bird head medallion border. Great floor rug or wall hanging art.

Condition: Good condition considering age with wear to center field. Soft, floppy handle. Original 4 cord goat hair selvedges. Fully secured sides and ends. Original flatwoven kilim ends intact. No repairs.
