This Antique Baluch small rug was woven in the mid to late 19th Century. It encompasses a golden camel field background featuring a lattice of indigo and madder red palmettes surrounded by leaf designs. It is finished with a glowing cherry red meandering bird head 'Turkmen Line' border. The use of fine detail and coloration is apparent in the weave. Rare piece in this condition.
