Collector's Notes
This Antique Baluch small rug was woven in the mid to late 19th Century. It encompasses a golden camel field background featuring a lattice of indigo and madder red palmettes surrounded by leaf designs. It is finished with a glowing cherry red meandering bird head 'Turkmen Line' border. The use of fine detail and coloration is apparent in the weave. Rare piece in this condition. Great wall hanging art or small accent rug. Rare piece.

Condition: Good condition considering age. Even wear to pile with slight brown corrosion from 100+ years of age. Loss to bottom and dog eared right corner. No repairs. Goat hair selvedge and original kilim remnants at top.
