This antique Afshar square rug was woven in the first quarter of the 20th Century in south Persia. This small Chanteh (tribal bag) is all original and the flatwoven chevron kilim back is fully intact, a rare find. It features an array of saturated colors including a madder red and ivory center and dark-blue background. An intricate weave at the least with a great meandering flower border. Collector's piece.
