8'5" X 6'1" Small Ersari Main Carpet [064]

A small Ersari Main carpet - possibly a prayer rug. In addition to tribal weaving, this piece features a 7 X 3 gol pattern with blue and orange, a pretty abrashed field, and a center gol motif carried to the border's end. This rug is made with a horse hair warp and minor borders that turn a lighter color at the top. With a three cord selvedge and twelve warm colors, this rug was given a museum quality wash before being preserved from light and wear in our gallery's Turkoman room.
