Sofreh woven by the Taimani Aimaq in the Chaghcharan area of western Afghanistan. Flat-woven central panel, lazy line bands of 3 colors. Framed on four sides in Soumak weave stars with rods top/bottom. The sides have stars and rosettes showing purple wool six-cord selvedges and long tassels of wool.
