6'3" X 4'7" Varamin Carpet [SH-380]

Varamin plains Mina Khani, motif, Persia, circa 1930s. Four diamond lattices of two types of flower heads formed a larger central diamond containing a third flower head set on deep indigo ground. A pair of guard borders in pumpkin and ivory frames the main border. Luminous green diamonds with cruciform centers. Delicate tracery bracketing in between on the purple ground. 

Original very good condition. Wool on cotton. Ten glowing colors. Hand-washed.
